[Cigarro Report] Motor Journalist Discusses the Allure of Cigarro!

I am Manabu Kawaguchi, an automotive journalist and YouTuber, and I am a respectable "old man" who will soon reach the milestone of 50. What's more, despite being an old man, due to the nature of my work, I appear at events, get exposure in the media, and above all, I show my face to the world daily on YouTube.

Because of this, a doctor friend of mine tells me, "Even if you're an old man, since you're in public, you have to use sun care." In fact, after neglecting care for many years, I've noticed an increase in not only wrinkles but also age spots recently.

Furthermore, I enjoy sports; I ride road bikes and have been running for 10 years, so sun care is even more necessary. My friend also said, "Even from that state, it's better to take care of your skin." Apparently, if you don't take care of it, your face and skin will increasingly resemble an old man's.

However, it is difficult to use sunscreen regularly. Not only is it not a habit, but when trying to use regular sunscreen, there's the problem of it turning white, especially when applied to the face. This makes me hesitant to apply it when I'm appearing in public or during filming. Additionally, there are hardly any sunscreens that are portable and easy to use on the go. The unique smell of sunscreen would also be unacceptable for work... so the hurdle for regular sunscreen use is high.

In my case, I also have many opportunities to test drive various cars and film while driving. What concerns me then is sunscreen getting on the car. The cars I film are called press cars, lent by manufacturers to the media, and many people use them. In such cases, if sunscreen gets on the seats or other surfaces, it can cause inconvenience during filming, and more importantly, it's a nuisance to the next person who uses the car. Furthermore, luxury cars often use lavish materials for their leather seats and door trims, so it would be a big problem if sunscreen were to get on them and become impossible to remove.

Also, when I borrowed a press car in the summer, I personally had the experience of finding sunscreen on the seats, which caused problems during filming. These work-specific circumstances further raise the bar for regular sunscreen use. As a result, I wanted to use sun care, but I was hesitant.
